South Florida Weddings have come a long way. There is no right or wrong way when it comes to wedding traditions and although many of our client still follow tradition, there are some that have tossed tradition to the curve. Here are 10 ways to have the Best Miami Wedding Ever.

Short Ceremony Outdoor Ceremony
No one wants to watch a drawn out ceremony. Keep the actual ceremony (not including entrances and exits) around 20 minutes so you won’t lose anyone’s attention.

Use a Wedding App or Hashtag
There are many great wedding apps to choose from for your big day. Some interactive apps allow guests to upload wedding photos into one curated place. You can also create clever hashtag and ask your Vision DJ to announce to your guests to tag all of their photos using your hashtag.

Open Bar
While open bars can be pricey, there are ways to make it work on any budget. Consider offering just beer and wine or a few cocktail options, but don’t ask family and friends to open their wallets.

Best Mans ToastToasts & Speeches
Speeches are a necessary component of any wedding, but it’s important to ensure they don’t drag on for too long. Keep the toast brief — no longer than a few minutes per person.

Song Requests
Want to know the best way to get your guests out on the dance floor? Play the songs they actually want to hear! You can include a line on your RSVP cards for requests. Then create a special playlist of those songs and watch your dance floor be busy all night. Need suggestions for Dance Floor Fillers? We can help. With over 500 weddings a year, our South Florida DJs have their finger on the pulse of Miami Music.

Phone Charging Stations
We saw this at a recent wedding and it was a big hit with all the guests. Offering a charging station is a very cool way to show guests you care about their personal needs. Plus, if you want to see tons of Instagram photos of your amazing reception, your friends and family will need battery life!

Favor People Will Use
Guests don’t want a framed photo of you and your new husband. Select something that your guests won’t leave on the table. Mini bottles of bubbly, a yummy snack like cookies or popcorn, or a treat they can enjoy once back at home like jam or syrup are all crowd-pleasers. Not only is a photo booth a fun activity for your Miami Wedding Reception, it’s also a great alternative for your guestbook or favor. The options are literally endless, but we love a great selection of props for your guests to play with.

Skip Traditions
Some brides don’t want to toss the bouquet, while others would prefer not to wait until the ceremony for their first look. If you’re a girl who just can’t image partaking in one of these traditions, don’t do it! It’s your wedding; you can skip what you want to.

Guests Throwing Confetti Over Bride And GroomMake a Memorable Exit
No one wants your wedding night to end, but since it has to, go out on a high note. Do a fun and festive farewell, like a firework show, sparkler exit, or confetti send-off! Your guests will love it, and it will make for some amazing photos. Also choose a special song to make your Grand exit.

Bonus – Where’s the Party?
You’ve invited Family and Friends to your South Florida Wedding to celebrate with you and that is what they came for. Wherever you are that’s where the party is. Having shots at the Bar? That’s where the party is. On the dance floor? That’s where the party is. Your guest will want to be with you at all times celebrating your amazing day.
